CREATIVITY PROGRAMS

The Spark Centre’s creativity programs are taught by creative professionals committed to nurturing true, individual creativity rather than just ‘teaching’ techniques. The programs focus on process, not end product. Key goals are to help students develop confidence in their creative abilities and express themselves or experience healing through the arts. People who think they are NOT creative are particularly welcome!

Fused Glass Workshop

Join Cindy Alblas to play with different colours and shapes of glass to create fused glass jewellery or a plate which will be fired in a kiln to create one-of-a-kind pieces.

Glass Art Sampler

Be inspired by the colourful world of glass and create some treasures to take home. Cindy Alblas will teach you how to make a traditional stained glass sun catcher, a mosaic creation and fused glass jewellery. 
Wednesdays 7:30-9pm (6 weeks: Mar 24-Apr 28)

LifeWriting - Preserving Your Life Stories

Your family history, an adventurous vacation epic, the romance of how you met the love of your life, the real reason you had kids (or the real reason you didn’t have kids), or the legend of how you rose to the top of the dog grooming empire; everyone has a story worth telling, and Leslie can help you write yours! This class will help stir your memory, teach you to choose the important details, and get your stories captured so that others can enjoy them, too. Let us know if you are interested in this course and we'll schedule class times that work for the group. A group just got started in January so the next group will likely start in March or April.
