Rules To Follow To Build Muscles

by Will Schlepinger

Do not underestimate breakfast Eating breakfast is very important. Eating a healthy breakfast is the most effective way to protect your muscles. Since the level of blood sugar drops during the night, not eating breakfast can stop your muscles from growing.

Extra nutrition Nutritional shakes are not as good for you as food. Nutrition works best as a compliment to your food or as a boost before training. But, keep in mind that nutritional shakes are not able to provide your muscles with the same building power food does. It would also be a good idea to try different brands and flavors to see which one works best for you.

It's best to eat every 3 to 4 hours. The right amount of blood sugar promotes muscle growth. If the amount of sugar in the blood is optimum, the body knows it is time to build muscle. Generally, the right amount of sugar is present in your blood about 3-4 hours after you've eaten a meal. Because of this, eating every 3 to 4 hours is the correct way to eat to increase muscle mass.

Drink plenty of fluids Every chemical reaction in your body happens in a water based environment. If your intake of water is not adequate, you are going to become dehydrated and nothing in your body will work well. Fat burning and muscle growth cannot happen without enough water.

Monitor what you eat Analyse what you eat and see if you get enough to build muscle. Recording the weight of all the food you eat in three days is a common way of doing this. This will show you how much protein, carbs and fat you are consuming on average. You should run this assessment twice a year to check on your progress. You can easily find diet plans online that can help you do that.

Change what you eat from time to time This is a key for success. The best thing about it is to keep your body used to consuming different types of food. The risk is also minimal that you get lack of something, and surely will get the right amount of vitamins and minerals that your muscles need to grow.

Eat well before you work out. Your body should have all the nutrients it needs before a workout. If you normally workout in the morning, eating a lot of carbs at night can give you the energy you need. If instead you normally workout at night, all the meals you have consumed throughout the day should have taken care of your nutritional needs.

Eat right after training After breakfast this is the most important meal for you. After working out, your muscles are broken down from all the stress you have placed them under, and you need to eat as quickly as possible. In order to build muscles, you need protein and carbs, and indeed drinking a nutritional shake is a great idea. Nutritional shakes are a very quick way to provide the carbs and protein you need.
