Class Descriptions

Back Care Yoga: A gentle class that focuses on building core strength and stretching muscles frequently associated with back pain, while building mind-body awareness. Chair Yoga: A gentle class that emphasizes stretching to increase mobility and incorporates some relaxation and strengthening as well. Ideal for anyone with
mobility issues which make floor work difficult.
Gentle Yoga: Focuses on relaxation and gentle moves, sometimes flowing and sometimes involving longer holds. Stretching is emphasized  along with some strength building.

Lunch Express Yoga: Combines some relaxation with stretches and poses selected specifically to help you return to work refreshed and revitalized.

Metabolism Boost Yoga: Poses and breathing techniques that fire up your metabolism are the focus of this 1.5 hour class. An invigorating workout is followed by a deep relaxation session which incorporates visualizations to help support you on your journey toward increased energy and vitality, and effective weight management. Mixed Level Yoga: Varies according to the students that attend. All classes incorporate relaxation, stretching and strengthening.

Yoga for Stress Management: Especially for people suffering from stress-related health concerns such as high blood pressure, migraines, insomnia, ulcers, etc. Emphasizes the development  of mindfulness (being fully aware in the present moment) as well as other techniques to help participants heal the effects of stress in their bodies and better handle stress in their daily lives. Each class includes mindful movement (yoga, walking), meditation and some discussion.
